Lately I have been watching countless tutorials online on how to ice and adorn the perfect cake. I think today is as good as any to get started. My first stop will be Sur la Table with my girl to pick out a turntable. We're serious about our baking around here, folks! I'm thinking the rasberry pistachio cake above is the ticket.

But first there's the issue of the salted chocolate chip cookies I was supposed to make last night...
