Lafayette Childrens Museum

Last week while we were in Lafayette Gammy took us to the Children's Museum and we had the best time. As much as I love the museum here in Houston, it is SOOOOOO crowded! This museum was the perfect size and with only a handful of other kids around, we were able to relax a bit and actually spend quality time in each section. Emma was a dentist, waitress, princess puppeteer, ambulance driver, and bubble queen. I think my favorite was the waitress, she was so hilarious! She brought us menus, served Gammy a big plate full of crawfish and tacos (talk about being in touch with your roots!) and some milk. She mopped the floors, washed the dishes and answered the phone to take to-go orders. Maybe we go out to eat too much?

Believe it or not, Austin was so good! His chunky little legs carried him all over the museum and he really enjoyed all the freedom we let him have. His little pointer finger was leading the way and all we had to do was try to keep up. That is no easy feat, let me tell you! He tried to eat everything he get him hands on. Toys in the gift shop, cars, blocks, SOAP, railings, STAIRS, and books were all in danger. All in all, a great day!
